Shades of Joe Cocker

Mark Cole of Stray Cat belts out a song during the recent ASB sponsored quadwrangle. Over 200 students attended the concert. Charles Lea, director of campus activities, said the quadwrangle might be made a monthly event. (See story & photo below).

Quadwrangle

Stray Cat was one of six
bands that played at last Thursday's quadwrangle.
The Miss MTSU Pageant contestants and Dexter Dodson,
impressionist, also appeared at the event.

Bands perform as one portion of quadwrangle.

Approximately 250-300 students gathered before the
University Center Thursday, March 23, to listen
to Stray Cat and other bands, as a portion of the
Quadwrangle program.

"The quadrangle was designed to give students an
afternoon in which they could and would enjoy themselves,"
Charles Lea said yesterday. Lea, director of residence hall
activities, said he was "highly optimistic" about implementing
the quadrangle as a part of campus activities each month.

"Another aspect we're looking at is offering "free"
movies which will be shown at various locations," he said.

The first movie is tentatively scheduled for April 12,
at Woodmore cafeteria.
